Christopher A. Gorski
President

 


Chris is the president of C.F. Gorski and has managed the company’s professional consultants and employees for over ten years; he has been involved in the cemetery industry for over 25 years. Chris has managed a wide range of design and construction projects for parish and large regional cemeteries that included environmental, traffic, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering. His cemetery engineering experience includes environmental permitting/compliance, site and roadway development, survey, burial lot design and layout. He has also provided creative design, locations and layouts of columbaria, cremation gardens and shrines. He has provided full client service by conducting construction management of individual projects within cemeteries of all sizes.

 


Michael L. Grantner
P.E., CPESC
Partner Engineer


 

Mike has been an Engineering Partner with C.F. Gorski for 8+ years. Mike has designed and managed a wide range of projects for the company which included land management, survey, roadway engineering, construction engineering, and all environmental permitting. Mike has over 18 years of civil engineering and project management experience in both engineering design and construction management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in both the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as a registered Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. Mike has worked with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Catholic Cemeteries to make sure that all of the work proposed has been approved by the required agencies with the permits issued. Mike’s engineering experience includes design in Roadway layout, Environmental permitting and compliance, ADA compliance, Land development/cemetery plot layout, Columbaria design, Stormwater Management, and Project Management.

 


Bro. Richard C. Ekmann, OSA
Consultant



 

Brother Richard has over 40 years of experience in cemetery work on many levels. His work experience includes extensive involvement in rules, regulations and forms for cemeteries, legal issues, maintenance and construction of buildings, land development, roads, drainage questions and the environmental concerns that now impact cemeteries.  His vast career in the cemetery industry included 28 years as a parish cemetery director; and 13 years as Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the Catholic Cemeteries of the Philadelphia Archdiocese.  Also during those years he was a member of the Catholic Cemeteries Commission of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia from 1981 to 2014.  For the Commission, he was chair of the sub-committee on Properties, and the sub-committee for Parish Cemeteries, and as such, for 22 years published a semi-annual Parish Cemetery newsletter.   He was, for 25 years, a member of the cemetery sub-committee of the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, which brought together Catholic Cemeterians from across the state.  He was a member of the Building Committee of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 7 years.  He has been involved in publishing three manuals for parish cemeteries and numerous articles for the Catholic Cemetery magazine.

 


Ken Murphy, P.E.
Consultant Engineer



 

Ken has been a consultant engineer to C.F. Gorski for over 3 years. Ken has over 18 years of civil engineering and project management experience. He has worked in engineering design and construction management for a wide range of projects. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida. Ken’s engineering design experience includes roadway layout, drainage design, utility relocation, right-of-way design,  ADA compliance, and project management. Ken is also the owner of a small general contracting company and had been involved in the building trades in various capacities for over 23 years. Over the past three years he has partnered with C. F. Gorski on a number of cemetery projects.

 


David Allen, P.E.
Project Engineer



 

Dave Allen serves as Project Engineer and has worked in the C.F, Gorski organization since 2006. Mr. Allen is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, Ohio and, Pennsylvania with over 15 years of experience in engineering design and construction coordination. His design management skills highlight experience with construction and client/team coordination. Additionally, Mr. Allen has expertise in Oversight and compliance review for Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Site Layout/Design, ADA Accessibility, Construction Contract Specifications & Drawing Preparation, and Facility Permitting (State, County & local)
